I drew the flower in in Derwent Watercolour, Prismacolour and Karisma pencils, on Strathmore 400 Toned 118gsm Gray paper, so that the white edged petals would stand out. The image depicts a mostly white Hippeastrum with fine red markings.

I bred grew this amaryllis from a seed, and waited five years for it to flower. This illustration is from the first time that this bulb flowered. I used this illustration as my entry piece for the SBA DLDC Course 23.
