In Swaying Whispers, inspired by Rhynchostele cervantesii, I explore the fragile elegance of the orchid's blossoms. The petals appear light and almost translucent, as if they were gently hovering rather than firmly rooted. Subtle accents of color emerge like soft whispers, never dominating the surface, but guiding the gaze with restraint and sensitivity. My compositions are intentionally open and reduced. I work with a limited palette of warm and cool tones, allowing generous white space to breathe within the image. This openness creates room for movement. The flowers seem to sway, to dance lightly across the surface, shaped by rhythm rather than symmetry. While painting, 1 am less interested in strict botanical depiction than in atmosphere and preĀsence. 1 work slowly and intuitively, allowing each layer to respond to the previous one. Swaying Whispers is an attempt to hold onto something transient: a fragile balance between stillness and movement, between form and dissolution.
