Devil's bit scabious (Succisa pratensis) painted as part of my RHS exhibition 'Wet Meadow Plants, their pollinators and as Food Plants'. The painting features a detailed lifecycle of the plant and includes the Marsh Fritillary butterfly (Euphydryas aurinia) who relies solely on this wildflower as its larval food plant.
