I’m a jeweller from Buxton in the Peak District, Derbyshire. 

I studied jewellery and silversmithing at college in Sheffield over 18 years ago and now run my own jewellery business where I design and make everything from my own workshop.

I work mainly in silver and natural gemstones, and I specialise in traditional hand engraving.

My inspiration comes from the natural world as UK flora and fauna fascinate me. 

In 2022 I became a Fellow Member of the Society of Botanical Artists.

Having grown up on a Smallholding in the Fens of East Anglia, living close to nature, I’ve always had a love of the natural world and its flora and fauna.

As a young adult I learned jewellery making and silversmithing at The Sheffield College, but it wasn’t until completing a degree as a mature student in Countryside management some years later that I was able to combine my love of the natural world with jewellery making. 

I started my own jewellery business in 2014 and have found my interest increasingly pulled towards botanical and wildlife subjects with a focus on native UK species. 

I work mainly in silver and natural gemstones, making everything by hand from my home workshop in Buxton, Derbyshire, and I specialise in traditional hand engraving.

My inspiration comes from the natural world as UK flora and fauna fascinate me.

My favourite subjects are leaves and flowers which I recreate in silver as pendants, brooches or earrings and decorate with hand engraving to depict the fine leaf detail.

The seasons are often my muse, and many of my botanical jewellery pieces reflect the seasons they are made in.
