I watched the orchi Dactylorhiza x Brauni in the National Botanic Gardens in Dublin develop. I loved watching it at each stage. When is was fully bloomed you could see the beautiful pattern on each part. I wanted to capture the development of this orchid in this illustration, showing three different stages.
