This painting is a response to a singular moment in time. ‘Sunnymead Drive…’ is one of those paintings which happen without the artist even really knowing how. An ordinary walk at an extraordinary time led to a chance encounter, and there it was. A chance encounter opened the start of a new conversation, and an exploration of understanding. A time and place never to be repeated, but remembered in memory and within a single leaf.
