Chionanthus pubescens Kunth is a tree native to Southern Ecuador and Northern Peru. Its stunning light pink, fuchsia, and white inflorescence makes it a perfect ornamental tree although it grows slowly. These trees loose their leaves and bloom during the summer, turning streets and parks in Andean cities into a marvelous sight.
