A detailed botanical study of Pyrus communis ‘Conference’ pear, observed from life. This RHS Gold Medal-winning work presents the plant as it grows naturally, without idealisation, capturing the organic arrangement of fruit and foliage. Careful attention has been given to the subtle tonal variations of the pears, their distinctive elongated form, and the delicate surface textures. The leaves are rendered with close observation, including natural blemishes and signs of ageing, reflecting the plant’s true condition. The work aims to combine botanical accuracy with a quiet appreciation of the beauty found in nature as it is.

A detailed botanical study of Vitis vinifera ‘Rondo’, observed from life at Denbies Wine Estate. This RHS Gold Medal-winning work focuses on the structure and weight of the fruiting vine, capturing the compact clustering of the grapes and their natural arrangement along the stem. Particular attention is given to the powdery bloom on the fruit surface and the subtle shifts in colour as the grapes ripen. The surrounding foliage reflects seasonal transition, with variations in colour and form that indicate the later stages of growth. The work aims to convey the character of the vine through its changing structure and maturity.
