Colored pencils and archival ink on paper
h: 40 w: 30 d: 1 (cms).
This work explores the natural process of ripening in Rubus idaeus, bringing together different stages of development within a single composition. From blossom to mature and overripe fruit, the plant is observed in its quiet transformation. Particular attention is given to the structure of leaves and the subtle shifts in tone and colour, allowing depth to emerge through contrast between detailed foreground and softened background elements. The aim is to present the plant truthfully, without idealisation, revealing beauty in its natural, imperfect state.
£1500 (As exhibited.)
