A single Beech leaf study captures the leaf at a stage of seasonal transition in the autumn. With greens, ochres, russets and muted reds from a rich tapestry of colour across the surface of the leaf.Careful observation of light and dark reveals its sculptural quality of the veins and undulations with shadow enhancing depth and structure.
