This botanical painting captures the warm, creamy tones of a magnolia in bloom, executed in a wet-on-wet technique on professional 300g Saunders Waterford cold-pressed cotton paper. I used a delicate palette of professional pigments to build the flower's volume and subtle shadows. By omitting the background, the focus is entirely on the sculptural form of the petals and the organic elegance of the specimen.
