Silverpoint and goldpoint on acrylic-grounded paper

A yucca in full bloom, drawn in silverpoint and goldpoint on acrylic-grounded Arches paper. The flowers are rendered in goldpoint, the stem and the small hovering bee in silverpoint. As the silver oxidises over time, the two metals will gradually shift apart in tone — the drawing will continue to change long time.

A sun-dried sunflower with its heavy head drooping, full of seeds. Drawn in silverpoint on acrylic-grounded paper; as the silver oxidises over time, the tones will gradually deepen, adding another layer of change to a plant that has already endured so much.
