Colored pencil on paper

h: 42 w: 30 d: 1 (cms).

This work approaches the Korean melon not simply as a fruit, but as a botanical subject. Focusing on its form, color, and texture, I carefully observed and recorded its characteristics through the process of drawing. Within the variations of yellow tones and the repetition of its striped patterns, I found a sense of order and rhythm in nature, which I sought to convey in this piece. Through this work, I explore the process of discovering new beauty within familiar subjects.

£500 (As exhibited.)
